You may get a bit depressed if you sit and ponder all the problems with our world today. The truth is they're endless. Just when you think you're on top of what's current, some other health affliction or global dilemma will raise its nasty little head. It's something I've grown accustomed to. On the other hand, there are certain issues that can be dealt with through knowledge and prevention. Everyone needs a hefty dose of HIV information. Parents and responsible adults will always talk about abstinence. They can't help it. I'm the same way. Now just because I'm against casual sex, doesn't mean I'm old or religious. A girl is much more likely to contract HIV from a guy, than a guy is from a girl. This simply has to do with our bodies. And most birth controls don't protect against HIV. Condoms are pretty effective against STDS, but not against herpes. Obviously if you have sex with someone, who has open sores from genital herpes, your chances of acquiring HIV have increased. A condom isn't going to protect against that.

There is tons of useful HIV information online. Although I first learned some of what I know about HIV and AIDS in high school biology class, I learned plenty of additional HIV information on the web, sitting at home. This is one subject matter you can't just dismiss. Your future depends on it.
